Jefferson Park Penguins broke the deadlock in their last at bats, pulling out
a 4 to 1 win over the SSB SSB Tar Heels and sending their hometown fans home
smiling.
 
Jefferson Park had the game winning rally in the bottom of the 9th inning
scoring 3 runs utilizing 2 base hits.  Aramis Ramirez led off and keyed the
rally when he drew a walk.  Raul Ibanez next to the plate and he doubled.
Mike Cameron then lost the ball over the fence for three runs (his 6th of the
season) making Jefferson Park the victor and beginning a joyous home town
celebration.  Jefferson Park finished with 10 hits while SSB ended up with 4.
 
Ruddy Lugo(4-1) went 3 innings allowing no runs for the victory. The loss was
charged to Todd Jones(0-4) in relief.  He gave up 3 runs in 1/3 of an inning
and saw his ERA jump from 5.59 to 6.86.
